We’re happy to announce that Sumo Group has received 11 nominations at the upcoming Game Republic Awards 2023.
Sumo Group has received nominations for the Community Player Award, Inclusivity Award, and Sustainability Award respectively. Sumo’s co-founder, Carl Cavers, and Director of Business Development, Nina Cliff, are both in the running for the Games Legend Award.
Sumo Digital has been nominated for the Best Large Studio Award while Dr Jacob Habgood, Sumo Digital’s Director of Education Partnerships, has been nominated for the Inspiring Course Leader Award for his work with the Sumo Digital Academy.
Sumo’s Leeds-based studio Red Kite Games has received four nominations; Studio Director & founder Simon Iwaniszak is up for the Best Company Boss Award, Programmer David Smith and Office Manager Anne Van Der Merwe have both been nominated for the Studio Hero Award, and the studio itself is a finalist in the Best Mid-Sized Studio Award category.
The Game Republic Awards is a very special one-year-only event celebrating 20 years of Game Republic. The winners will be revealed on 23rd November 2023 during GameDevDay at the GaMaYo event taking place at Tileyard North, Wakefield, UK.
