Sumo Group businesses shortlisted in 2023 TIGA Awards

Sumo Group and its businesses have been named finalists in several categories in the 2023 TIGA Awards.

The annual TIGA Games Industry Awards showcases excellence in game development, service providers and education, recognising studios and businesses of all sizes globally for their achievements.

Sumo Group itself is nominated for Commitment to ESG, Commitment to Workplace Wellbeing, Best Talent Development and Employer of the Year.

Its biggest operating business, Sumo Digital, has received nominations for Best Large Studio, whilst the Sumo Digital Academy received its first double nomination for Zool: Redimensioned in both the Heritage in Games and Best Arcade Game categories. In addition, Atomhawk has been shortlisted for the Best Art/Animation Trailer Supplier and Simon Iwaniszak, Studio Director at Red Kite Games, is a finalist for the Outstanding Leadership Award.

Auroch Digital has seen two of its titles with multiple nominations. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun has been nominated for Best Action and Adventure Game and Best Audio Design, while Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator is shortlisted for Best Educational, Serious or Simulation Game. The studio is also nominated for Best Large Studio.

Finally, titles published by Secret Mode have scooped nominations in a range of categories. A Little to the Left – developed by Max Inferno – is up for Best Puzzle Game and Best Visual Design, and Turbo Golf Racing – developed by Hugecalf Studios – received nominations for Best Creativity in Games and Best Social Game. Secret Mode is also nominated for Best Publisher.


The winners of the TIGA Awards will be announced on Thursday the 16th of November at a ceremony held in London. The full list of nominees can be found here.
