Sumo Group receives nominations at 2022 Game Dev Heroes Awards

Sumo Group receives four Game Dev Heroes Awards nominations  

The Game Dev Heroes Awards recognise individuals’ contributions to the games industry, nominated by their peers and colleagues. 

Auroch Digital, which became part Sumo Group last year, received a double nomination with Tester & Audio Designer Matt Walker nominated for Sound, and Marketing & Comms Director Jemima Crow nominated for Leadership. In recent months, Auroch Digital has seen a series of high-profile project announcements, including Ogre and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. 

Ines Lagarto – Producer at Sumo Digital studio Lab42 Games – received a nomination for Production. The studio recently worked in partnership with Paradox Interactive on the release of Crusader Kings III. 

Finally, Sumo Group Director of HR Karen McLoughlin is nominated for Unsung Hero. Karen has devoted over 20 years to the video game industry and is a fundamental figure within the everyday running of Sumo Group. She has been instrumental in driving transformative initiatives and policies since joining Sumo in 2005, with a particular focus on equality, diversity and inclusivity.  

The Game Dev Heroes Awards winners will be announced on 22nd July 2022 as part of Develop: Brighton.
