Sumo Group gets moving for charity this September

Teams from across Sumo Group are on the move this September for its charity partners.

The Group’s 2022 charity partners, SpecialEffect, Solving Kids’ Cancer and GamesAid were announced earlier this year with its people working hard in training to raise vital funds for all three this month.

A team of individuals from studios including Sumo Warrington, Sumo Leamington and Sumo Sheffield along with Sumo Group CEO Carl Cavers will be testing their endurance at the 2022 Cyclothon Brands Hatch in aid of Solving Kids’ Cancer. The team will participate in a 12-hour team relay around the F1 circuit on Wednesday 7th September 2022.

Runners from Sumo Group’s North East studios (including Atomhawk and Sumo Newcastle) and Sumo Sheffield are preparing for the 2022 Great North Run to raise money for SpecialEffect. The half marathon in and around the city of Newcastle will take place on Sunday 11th September 2022.

Finally, a duo of racing teams from Leamington-based studios are revving their engines for the 2022 GamesAid Go-Karting event. Lab42 and Sumo Leamington will be racing at Whilton Mill racetrack in Northamptonshire to raise money for GamesAid on Thursday 15th September 2022.
