SUMO GROUP APPOINTS PHIL WHITE AS MARKETING DIRECTOR

Sumo Group is pleased to welcome Phil White as its new Marketing Director as the company looks to expand and diversify its marketing strategy and content. Reporting to Group Director of Communications and Marketing, Christina Haralambous, Phil will spearhead major brand and marketing campaigns for studios across Sumo Group.

Having previously worked as a consultant and held senior roles at several marketing and advertising agencies including Ogilvy – one of the largest advertising agencies in the world, Phil helped develop award-winning campaigns, including the ‘IBM Seer’ Wimbledon campaign, which featured an augmented reality app with live data feeds to help people ‘see through walls’ – the campaign has since gone on to win many awards including a Cannes Lion.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be joining Sumo Group and am looking forward to building on the reputation of our studio brands,” said Phil. “Not only will I be working on some of the most prestigious video games brands in the industry but importantly with some of the most creative and innovative individuals too. At a time when the video game industry is exponentially growing, and Sumo Group is accelerating its IP and presence across the world, it's extremely exciting to join the team.

Sumo Group has recently been place #12 in the ‘Best Companies Q1 UK’s 100 Best Large Companies To Work For’ list for 2022 and placed #4 in the ‘Best Companies Q1 Technology’ sector list, a first for the company. This follows on from the Group being awarded a 3 Star Accreditation for a second consecutive year in the highly regarded Best Companies B-Heard survey.
