Sumo Group nominated in 2021 Learning Technologies Awards

SUMO GROUP NOMINATED IN 2021 LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES AWARDS

Today, Sumo Group announces that its internal learning resource, Dojo, is nominated for Best Use of Social & Collaborative Learning Technologies at the 2021 Learning Technologies Awards.

The platform, supported by Thrive LXP, is Sumo Group’s hub for its industry-leading development, progression and learning opportunities. Offering its people worldwide access to a myriad of resources and learning tools, Dojo also allows for collaboration and content sharing amongst colleagues.

Dojo is part of Sumo Group’s “people first” approach in which all team members are granted five learning days each year to bolster their at-work skill set, volunteer for charities close to their hearts or learn skills outside of their role.

Jenny Muhlwa, Learning and Development Manager at Sumo Group, said: “I’m over the moon that Dojo has been recognised in the Learning Technologies Awards. The platform was started as a way to keep our colleagues in touch and maintain our culture during lockdown by allowing them to share learning resources, helpful information and even playlists.

“The way our teams use the platform is peer-patrolled, allowing users the freedom to share content meaningful to them without it having to go through an approval process. By doing this, we’ve created a system where our people can follow their favourite content creators and find information they’re interested in.

“I’m grateful to all of our teams for embracing Dojo with such passion and am so proud of what we’ve created.”

Dojo was launched in May 2020 and now has over 1000 users across Sumo Group, with over 76% of the Group actively sharing and engaging in content. On average, the platform sees over 100 pieces of user generated content each month ranging from charity initiatives to recipes, to tutorials and learning.

The Learning Technologies Awards will take place on Wednesday 17th November 2021.
