AUROCH DIGITAL CELEBRATES MARS HORIZON ANNIVERSARY
Auroch Digital celebrates the first anniversary of its out-of-this-world title, Mars Horizon. The celebration will see an update released in the new year and an exclusive first look at one of the missions in a special stream on Friday 12th November.
Joining Auroch Digital for the stream will be Andrea Accomazzo - Head of Solar System and Exploration Missions Division at the European Space Agency - as they play through the Rosetta Mission of the update. Andrea will share his experience of the challenges and victories of the real-life Rosetta Mission as the Auroch team try to land their own Philae probe during the stream.
In 2014, the Rosetta Mission saw the landing of the Philae probe on Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko and the stream coincides with the mission’s 7th anniversary, taking place on Friday 12th November on the Mars Horizon Steam Page at 4pm – 5pm (GMT).
In Mars Horizon, players must lead a major space agency in guiding humanity to Mars. This strategy simulation game was created with support from the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency. During production, Auroch Digital collaborated with experts in space exploration to bring authenticity, realism and legitimacy to the gameplay and scenarios facing players.
The Daring Expeditions update, which launches in January 2022, will also bring two additional missions to the game, as well as new flags, Spacepedia Updates and Bugfixes. Mars Horizon is available now on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Auroch Digital was acquired by Sumo Group in September 2021 and, most recently, the studio announced its title Brewmaster will be heading into alpha ahead of its 2022 release.
